Robert J. Dietz joined BrigliaMcLaughlin in 2008. Prior to joining the firm, Mr. Dietz practiced construction law, government contracts, and surety defense with the firms of Katz & Stone and Moore & Lee. He has successfully represented owners, contractors, subcontractors, architects, engineers and sureties on a variety of complex matters.

Mr. Dietz received his Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Florida and a juris doctorate from Washington & Lee University School of Law. During law school, he served as staffwriter for the Washington & Lee Law Review and Mock Trial Administrator for the Moot Court Executive Board. After graduating from law school, Mr. Dietz served as law clerk to the Honorable John H. Tisdale of the Circuit Court for Frederick County, Maryland.

Mr. Dietz is certified as a LEED® Green Associate by the Green Building Certification Institute. Evoking both environmental protection and growth potential, the LEED® Green Associate credential attests to demonstrated knowledge and skill in practicing green design, construction, and operations.
